Fighting has erupted in the Castleland Autonomous Province (CAP) region of the Legoland Empire. The area is more commonly known simply as Castleland and covers much of the West and North West of the Empire. Castleland is home to the ethnic Castlefigs which comprise minifigs from a host of clans, the top three being Castle Lion, Castle Draco and Black Fortress.

The majority of the battles to date have centred on the harsh barren Figland and mountainous Basicstan expanses of Castleland. The Figland city of Tricathan was captured by the Legoban in October 2009 but retaken by government forces in early November. To date the industrialised Townfig population centres of the Empire have escaped the fighting.
