As the new decade rolls in, so does optimism. Many figs are making their resolutions and hoping that this year, and decade, will be better than last. The nation of Kilimanlego and its figs are no exception to this.
With this, the Kilimanlego Football League is actively trying to expand and plans for this decade to be the "Great Journey" in this regard. With the experience of international football for some of KFL's clubs and the experience of ownership in the Legoland SuperLeague, the KFL will strive to become an iconic league in the world of bricks.
For the 2010 season, the league will be expanding from its current 5 clubs to 8. The 3 new clubs set to join the KFL are as followed:
Club: AC Warbirds
Owner: Mac Sunny
Sponsor: None
Club: Aeros
Owner: Tyler Stevens
Sponsor: None
Club: Pure Blacks
Owner: Rick Rucker
Sponsor: Rucker Athletics
Along with the expansion of clubs comes with an expansion of venues. A new stadium, Municipal Stadium, will be constructed to be the shared home of these 3 clubs. It will also host this season's KFL Kick Off. The new stadium will cost roughly L£35m and will seat a capacity of 300 figs. A computer rendering of the new Municipal Stadium has been attached.
Not only that, a new website is in the works for the league. The website will host the latest in league news along with league fixtures, tables, and club profiles. It can be found at this location: kilimanlegofootball.bravehost.com.
The future looks as bright as the Kilimanlego summer sun and the "Great Journey" will make it even brighter. Join us on 03 April 2010 for the start of what should be a thrilling KFL season.
