With £160m prize money up for grabs, the Super 16 Conference is the World's richest association football tournament. The competition, established in 2009, is open to professional football clubs from toy nations in Panterra Major that are registered with the International Toy Football Federation (ITFF) which is headquartered in Legoland City, Legoland. To date there are 23 nations registered with the ITFF, namely Billyland, Chessland, Ciaranland, Clancyland, Cubea, Eland, Gardinia, Gerardland, Higginsland, Kilimanlego, Legaña, Legoland, Norton, Ostengelia, PBR, Plasticland, Plasticland Empire, Playmobil, Rodericland, Sandland, Tabletown, USR, and Vikingland
The Super 16 Conference is the successor to the LEGO European Cup and the LEGO Outer-European Cup which are now both defunct. The last ever winners of these competitions were ND Land's Shrewsbury and Republic of Nicol's Requin Noir Rangers respectively. The LEGO European Cup and the LEGO Outer-European Cup comprised clubs from both Panterra Major and Panterra Minor. As with its predecessors, the Super 16 Conference comprises a qualifier stage, a group stage and a knock-out finals stage. Clubs from Panterra Minor will not be permitted entry into the Super 16 Conference and are expected to partake in a similar regional competition, the name of which has not officially been confirmed, although the "N Conference" is the name the press widely use.
The ITFF is in the process of seeking to arrange for the victors of the new Super 16 Conference to enter a "Pan Continental Superbowl" to face the winners of the N Conference.
One or more representatives from each of the 23 nations registered with the ITFF are either entered directly into the Group Stage of the competition or they are entered into the qualifiers stage. The allocation is based on each nation's domestic league's ITFF co-efficient or rating. The top 4 domestic leagues, the Chessland Premiership, the Legoland Serie A, the Plasticland Liga 1 and the Sandland NFL all have 2 automatic entrants into the Group Stage. The weakest 16 domestic leagues get one entry each into the qualifiers stage whereby the final 4 surviving teams are paired with either the third placed team from the previous season's Legoland, Eland, Gardinia, or Plasticland Empire leagues. The four winners of these play-offs enter the 16 team Group Stage which comprises four groups of four.

The 16 qualifiers net £5m just for taking part in the 6 game Group Stage. The top two from each of the four groups qualify for the competition's Quarter-Finals and pocket another £5m for their trouble. The four Semi-Finalists earn another £5m with the two Finalists receiving yet another £5m. The overall winner receives an additional £10m.

At present, there are no lower leagues so teams cannot be relegated from the MFL. The two main teams,
Club de Futbol Legaña and their bitter rivals Legaña Leons, win the competition most years
having the largest fan base and biggest spending power. The rest of the teams competing for the league title
are: San Sebastian, Universidad de Santa Maria, Club Atletica, Petroleo Sindicato, Construccion Unios,
Nacional Futbol Equipo, Catolico Iglesia and Republica Indios.
The teams come from a variety of professional and semi-professional backgrounds and are financed from a
wide range of the Legañan populace. Ricardo Rico’s oil firm owns Petroleo Sindicato, while other
notable owners include ex-priests, a football equipment specialist and a university. The gulf between
the top 2 teams and the remainder of the league has been often criticised and various measures have been
suggested to close the gap.
The league is currently sponsored by a large Legañan farming company, Agricultura Legaña,
having been the league sponsors since the its conception in 2007. The league has been marred by off-field
problems, including embezzlement, match-fixing and domestic strife. Three weeks worth of fixtures were
postponed in 2008 due to the civil war raging across the country but these were successfully replayed at
the end of the season.

The PBR Brewers or "The Brew" as they are known in PBR, is the nation's

its problems with Beer. The Brew are owned by PBR's billionaire
