On 3rd March 2009 the Legoland Town board of directors appointed Zonalus Markingus as the club president. In his first season as president, Markingus saw Legoland Town survive their debut season in Legoland's top flight. The Towners finished the 22 team division in 16th place. Debt repayments severely crippled the club in the 2008/9 pre-season forcing the club to sell a number of its more renowned players.

On 9th February 2010 Legoland Town announced it would be renaming the San Marco stadium the Saints' Bowl and adopted a black heraldic dragon above it's shield crest.
