Napoli kit

As one of the main beneficiaries of the formation of the revamped SuperLeague in 1995, Parthenope, then playing as Napoli SSC, were granted a Serie A license by the Legoland Football Association. Being awarded the license effectively plucked the club from relative obscurity to the centre stage of one of the world's top football leagues. The football association awarded the team a Serie A place primarily due to the club's large fanbase explaining that the SuperLeague's top flight was primarily for the nation's footballing powerhouses and those clubs who had the potential to be a major force both domestically and internationally.

Parthenope's topsy-turvy debut season proved to be a campaign which saw the team involved in some incredible results. Two high scoring draws, 6-all and 4-all, against giants Legoland United would go down as among the most exciting games in the club's history and so too would a 9-1 hammering away to Legoland FC. The side finished its first season in Serie A in 12th place.

The 1996/7 season saw Parthenope slip a place in the final standings to 13th. The position would prove unlucky for the Southerners as the following season would be the club's last in Serie A for a decade. Despite recording a 10-0 win over Plasticland United, the team were to end the season in 15th place and Serie B beckoned. The club had a disastrous second half to the league calendar failing to win any of their last 18 games.

Parthenope finally earned promotion to Serie A in 2008 when they finished the 42-game Serie B in 3rd place. Once again Serie A would host games involving "the Criminalfigs".

On 20th June 2008 a new era began for the club as Parthenope were sold to Rulandstin businessfig Colonel Brik after the millionaire splashed out £45m. The minifig had been in talks with both the club and fellow Serie A side Greentown Athletic but decided to go for the Blues.

Col. Brik became the hero of many Parthenope supporters when he took out the cheque book to land Lion Lakers' Gardinian superstar Ronaldinho. The £26m deal smashed the club's transfer record.

Partenope have had, since their formation, rumoured links to organised crime in Legoland's Castleland region. The city's port provides a gateway to the Castleland province which has been a favourite channel for illegal narcotics and arms smuggling. This has given the city of Selpan a bad name to some extent and as the city's premier football club, Parthenope has tried to distance itself from any illegal dealings.
