Founded in 1994 as Parma AC, Duchy finished the 2007-08 season in 15th place, 8 points above the drop. The club's performances didn't please many of their supporters, however, despite the team consistently lying in the bottom half of the table, relegation was considered unlikely.
On the 19th June 2008 Duchy became the first Serie A club in 2008 to be bought out by a foreign businessfig. The new owner, Mr Jon Voi, a successful entrepreneur in Kilimanlego forked out £55m to land the club. As part of the purchase fee the club's new owner agreed to sell of the club's youth academy. The departing president and owner, Mr Tommaso Ghirardi, called the arrival of Voi "the potential catalyst for success".
A somewhat controversial figure, Mr Voi also acts as commissionerfig of the Kilimanlego Football League. His transfer wheeling dealing in the Legoland football market has earned him the moniker 'the Polite Decliner'.
On 2 May 2010, the day after the final day of the 2009/2010 season, Parma AC formally adopted their current name, Duchy FC, and their current nickname, the Crusaders, as part of the Legoisation Programme instigated by the Legoland Football Association.
