Drogba becomes Legoland's first ever black minifig

news LEGOLAND CITY-Former Legoland FC and Napoli forward Didier Drogba has become the nation's first ever "nigfig" after undergoing surgery in the capital today. Taking time out from his busy training schedule with Albern, the "Drog" flew into Legoland this morning and had completed the successful operation by the afternoon.

Dozens of "miscreants" rounded up in raids

news LEGOLAND CITY-The Empire Police have spearheaded a huge crackdown on suspected participants in Tuesday's violent demonstration against the government in the capital. Security forces raided premises across the city and were seen handling detainees in a very rough manner indeed sparking concern for their welfare.

news LEGOLAND CITY-Running street battles between security forces and the capital's residents have erupted in Legoland City tonight with reports of several minifigs killed. Disturbances broke out in the city centre when dozens of minifigs started smashing in shop windows and hijacking and burning cars in anger at the government's apparent mismanagement of the economy.

World's first wave energy plant opens in Legaña

news LEGANA-Unusually for a country which almost always does everything second, Legaña has today made a pioneering leap into the 21st century with the opening of the world's first wave energy plant. Legañan President accused of not supporting ally

news LEGANA-The president of Legaña, Pedro Cuahchic, has been accused of failing to support his valuable ally and Emperor of Legoland, Emperor David. The accusations come after a valuable shipment of rifles offered by El Presidente to help the Legoland government in its war against the Legoban were delayed until after a peace deal had been brokered between the two sides. news FIGLAND- A propaganda video released tonight by Al-Kyeda has claimed full responsibility for Last month's car bomb attack on the headquarters of the NBO. Car bomb destroys NBO head office injuring 3

news LEGOLAND CITY-A car bomb detonated near the head offices of Legoland's ruling New Brick Order political party this evening has completely destroyed the premises. Authorities in the capital have told the Minifig Times that 3 minifigs were injured in the blast, 2 of which are in a critical condition in hospital. Full Story

news PLAYMOBIL-Playmobil's reclusive leader, King Brunelesky IX, unveiled a new look for 2010 today when he entertained journalists with an out-of-the-blue photo shoot. news ANCIENT ROME-Government officials have confirmed this morning that a peace deal has been struck with Legoban insurgents after secret talks during the week. news Legoland fighter jets have pounded Legoban positions throughout south eastern Castleland's Basicstand Pass this evening with reports of dozens of civilians killed. news Legoland Football Association president Mr Fifa is in hiding this evening after a death threat was made on his life. A menacing email sent to the head offices of Legoland football's governing body issued the threat and also gave the impression that the targeted minifig may need to fire his press officer. Tricathan falls to Legoland army

news Government forces have captured the strategically important town of Tricathan from the Legoban, officials have confirmed. According to the military, troops entered the town this afternoon and were greeted by no one with no trace of the town's former inhabitants, or of Legoban insurgents. Full Story

Department of Finance confirms £200m injection

news The Department of Finance has confirmed tonight that Legoland will receive a £200m boost to the economy in December after the Emperor sanctioned the purchase of new materials required for the rebuilding of the capital. The news came following an announcement by the State Economic Bureau earlier this week claiming that the recession was showing signs of easing. Full Story

news BACISTAN PASS-Fierce fighting has continued since early this morning in the mountainous Basicstan Pass region of Figland with the Ministry of Defence confirming the LRG's 30th casualty at 3pm this afternoon. Stating "stiffer than expected resistance" the Ministry rejected criticism that it had under estimated the strength of the Legoban. "The Legoban is a hidden enemy most of the time so it is impossible to know how many fighters they have," said Defence Minister Mr Chemicalus Answerus. Full Story

Heavy fighting reported in Figland with 6 confirmed killed

news 6 LRG troops have died tonight in the troublesome Figland region of Castleland after their motorised convoy was ambushed by a combination of Legoban and Al-Kyeda fighters. The convoys were on their way to the town of Tricathan in a bid to retake the township from Legoban control. Full Story

Government forces move in on Tricathan

news The government has ordered 4 battalions of troops and both the Legoland Republican Guard's 1st and 2nd Motorised Divisions to be sent to Castleland to retake Tricathan after it fell to Legoban insurgents yesterday. The state forces total over 120 minifigs and will also have backup from the Army Air Corps. A confident Minister for Defence Mr Chemicalus Answerus told reporters that the Legoban "stand no chance". Castleland township Tricathan falls to Legoban

news Legoban forces have taken control of Tricathan, the Empire's 9th and Castleland's 3rd most populous settlement, after a heavy assault on the township resulted in its complete capitulation this morning. Reports emerging state that around 30 heavily armed Legoban attacked Tricathan at 6am this morning, easily overpowering the defenders who were armed with medieval era weaponry. Full Story

news The Empire Police are hunting an armed male minifig after a brazen hold-up at the Bricklyn Post Office shortly before closing time today. Angry Legoland residents demand buses with toilets

news A heated protest took place in the capital this evening against the number 244 bus service currently being provided to residents of the much maligned Hole Tower and Bracken Slum complexes off Three Horns Parade. Speaking outside a local pizza joint, head of the Hole Tower Residents Association, Mr Barry "the Gnome King" Maguire, said it was "high time the bus company listened to our list of demands". news A badly disfigured corpse believed to be that of former Minister for Justice Mr Captous Criminous has been uncovered by the Empire Police this evening in the Figland region of the Castleland Autonomous Province. news Al-Kyeda leader Amaso Bin Liner has announced the capture of Minister for Justice Mr Captious Criminous after an attack on Criminous' entourage in the lawless Figland region of the Castleland Autonomous Province. news LEGOLAND CITY-The announcement came directly from VOL PKLM's chief executive Riskyus Gambulus at lunchtime today in a statement hurriedly issued to the press. Legoland's third largest financial institution will cease all operations permanently from 12:00am Friday 27th February with the loss of 35 jobs after the lender posted losses of £194m in its first months of operation. Calls for government to resign as unemployment rockets

news LEGOLAND CITY-Unemployment figures released today have painted a gloomy picture on the jobs front with official statistics confirming that over 1100 minifigs are now out of work. The record number of jobless is overwhelming the nation's social welfare system run by the State Employment Bureau (SEB2) the government was told today at an impromptu meeting called to discuss the Empire's deteriorating finances.
