LFC have given Marco Van Basten the dreaded "Vote of Confidence" making the under-fire manager the number one favourite to be the next Serie A boss to be shown the door.

Van Basten told The Minifig Times that reports LFC had already lined up Francesco Pedone as his successor were "unsettling the team".

Relegation threatened Torino have done the chasing pack a big favour yet again by securing a 2-2 draw with Ajax Skerries at the Delle Alpi stadium. Indeed Selvaraj's minifigs were very unfortunate not to claim all three points against the Helmets as they conceded the equalising goal five minutes into injury time at the end of the 90 minutes. Nevertheless the result was Ajax's second consecutive draw after their midweek borefest with Napoli and has allowed a resurgent Legoland United to come within touching distance of top spot.

Legoland United overcame Juventus in a close encounter at San Siro. Having taken the lead through Christy in the 3rd minute, amazingly his 7th goal in 3 games, United made it 2-0 before the break through Iván De la Peña's 41st minute strike. Juventus put the pressure back on the Reds in the second half as Emperor David slotted home a 47th minute penalty but the capital club held on for another precious victory.

Over at LFC, the club's board of directors have publically announced their confidence in manager Marco Van Basten after the Nicol coach steered his side to a 2-2 draw with crisis-hit Celebs. The result was seen as yet another failure to capitalise on Ajax Skerries recent dip in form as LFC had also drawn midweek with Torino and fans of the Partizan based club jeered the team at the final whistle. According to insider reports, Van Basten will be handed his P45 next Saturday should LFC not beat Greentown Athletic in a convincing manner.

Celebs' owner Mr Prints has retained faith in Giovanni Trapattoni despite the club's abysmal performances this season. The Slobs have not picked up a win in 10 games and in 18th place lie just 3 points from the drop zone. There are signs that the Celebs fanbase may just be starting to question Trapattoni's tactics, the minifig who guided the side to three Studetto titles this decade.

In the other Serie A games there were important wins for BFB, Inter Police, Napoli, Parma, Inter and Roma. Robin Rangers' 2-1 loss to Inter was accompanied by the sending off of both Rangers' Matteo Placida and Santiago Solari and these will now miss next weekend's fixture against Juventus.
