Football association president Mr Fifa stressed that his organisation is fully independent and is not influenced by any particular
club or minifig.
Mr Fifa would not rule out the possibility of a 24 team SuperLeague saying that any decision rested with the clubs owners
and would if motioned by a number of clubs go down to a vote.

Legoland FC public relations tool Mr Daniele Massaro has hit out at Torino and other clubs that may wish to expand the Serie A division to 24 teams at a club press conference this morning. Reacting to reports that Torino manager and former LFC player Victor Selvaraj had called for such a move, Mr Massaro was quick to record his disapproval. Calling those who were trying to encourage the expansion, "retard clubs", Mr Massaro explained that sponsorship and television revenues would be diluted as a result of such a move.
"Only clubs that worry about relegation would like a 24 team league, great teams like LFC are happy as it is. Having 24 teams means we will get a smaller slice of the pie. Do we want this? Do we look like we want to turn out like Torino, Fiorentina or Napoli? There are already enough rubbish teams in the division, in our final three games we must try and motivate ourselves to play against such bores as Parma and Marino. We don't want more of these next season."
LFC manager, Patrice Loko, was less confrontational yet he also saw problems with the idea. "I foretell incomparable intricacy with having supplementary teams than other seasons. Who will make the fixtures, who will make the tables, are there 24 magnifying glasses?"
As head of the league's governing body, LFA president Mr Fifa told reporters in the capital that any changes would require a vote by clubs and rejected claims that pressure brought on the association by big clubs would influence a decision. "We would look for a vote by current members of the SuperLeague. My initial thoughts is that 24 teams would be alot. The league would involve 4 additional rounds which would mean more fixtures for clubs and more games for players. Nevertheless we are never influenced by the top clubs, we are an independent and impartial organisation".
The Minifig Times sports correspondent, Mr Armchairus Fanus, reports however that the football association has on numerous ocassions in the past been accused of favouring the views of the elite clubs and in particular those of Legoland FC. "Although there is no proof of any clear favouritism, LFC have no doubt been aided by rule changes in the past and as arguably the most powerful club in the division may well have some influence in the corridors of power at LFA HQ."
An expansion of the Serie A would likely see the number of teams relegated from the top flight reduced this season. With Torino currently lying in second last place, the club has potentially much to gain from such move.
