Coach of ND Land football giants blames "foolish draws"

news

It is expected that the ND Land FC coach will have a tough time of it in his futile attempt to knock Albern off the summit of ND Land football.

Albern, who are owned by the great Emperor David of Legoland, are reported to have a transfer kitty of in excess of €70m and have been linked to a host of top names including Serie A stars Alexandre Pato, Wook-Jin You and Didier Drogba.

ND Land FC manager Zdeněk Zeman has declared that the title race will be closer next season and blamed Jurgen Klinsmann's incredible run of draws as the reason why they failed to lift the ND Land league title last term.

ND Land's largest club-side drew 10 of their opening 14 games in the 2008/9 campaign leaving them in 15th place, way behind the leaders and eventual winners Albern. However they replaced Klinsmann and got their season back on track, finishing in third place, 12 points behind champions Albern. Zeman stated that "ND Land lost this league because of foolish draws. 11 games without a win is unacceptable". This was referring to ND Land's astonishing 11 games winless run early last season. Zeman, however, has vowed to turn things around.

"We must rid our inconsistency. There were times towards the end of last season where we could have mounted a serious challenge but bottled it in the 96th minute. This must be stopped. Next season we will be up the top. We expect it to be much tighter. Albern and Shrewsbury are the obvious main challengers at this point, but it will be a busy summer and much can happen. It will be closer next season. That I am sure of."

ND Land FC players Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka have both been linked with exits with a reported bid of €30m turned down from Real Legoland. However, Zeman is confident that they will stay. "Cristiano will be here. He has stated his desire to stay. Kaka is more complicated but I'm confident he will be here".
