Legoland FC sack Loko after capitulation in capital

Loko's dismissal did not surprise many especially after LFC fans showed their displeasure at half-time by holding up red placards, the colour of bitter rivals Legoland United.

LEGOLAND CITY-LFC manager Patrice Loko has been shown the door this afternoon following the Cartel’s shock home loss to minnows Stuart Spacers. The red minifigs from space landed at the Partizan stadium and caused what is likely to be one of the biggest upsets this season. With the sides scoreless and a minute remaining in the clock, Spacers’ midfielder Massimo Mutarelli rose and headed home the winner, securing 3 precious points for his side and Loko’s fate.

No sooner had the whistle blown and LFC had announced Patrice Loko had been given the boot. PR minifig Daniele Massaro broke the news. “Following an emergency meeting by the directors of Legoland FC, Mr Loko’s contract with the club has been terminated with immediate effect. The board would like to criticise Mr Loko for his pitiful attempts at steering the club to success this season despite having handed him £90m in addition to securing Cristiano Ronaldo, arguably the best player in the world. Legoland FC is in the process of seeking a replacement for Mr Loko, interested coaches should send in their doctored curricula vitae as soon as possible listing their achievements”.

Speaking to the Minifig Times, a surprisingly upbeat Patrice Loko said he felt “relief” at having “an enormous weight of expectation off my acrylonitrile butadiene styrene shoulders”. I will go back to the office and pack up my spare magnifying glasses for my next adventure. I took forward to tell my grandchildren in future that I, Patrice Loko, survived 7 months in the hot seat. Let all clubs know, I’m looking for a job! Joseph-Désiré Job, that is”. Loko, who reportedly suffers from mental breakdowns among other things, may well find employment sooner than expected as reports this evening suggest Juventus have given manager Ciro Ferrara “2 weeks to turn things around”. It is believed that the Emperor, who both owns and plays for the Nurit club is “really annoyed” that they are rooted to the bottom.

Elsewhere it was an eventful afternoon in Serie A with Legoland United romping to a 4-1 win over Juventus, a game that saw Cripple return to the champions starting line-up. A disaster 5 minutes for Juve saw United score 4 through Alex Taribello, Fabio Galante, Andrei Arshavin and substitute Daniele Dessena.

Lion Lakers overtook BFB at the helm with a comfortable 2-0 away win over a struggling Greentown Athletic after BFB were held to a 1-1 draw by the TDs. Ajax Skerries continued their appalling run of form that has see the club lose its last 3 games going down 2-0 to Napoli. The Helmets boss faces a huge game on Monday, being billed the biggest game in the club’s history as his side take on PBR champions PBR Brewers in the final leg of the final Super 16 Conference preliminary round. Ajax led 1-0 from the home tie.
