Tricathan falls to Legoland army

Troops carried out house to house searches yet the entire town's population appears to have vanished. Two LRG troops were killed in separate explosions apparently caused by landmines left by the Legoban.

TRICATHAN-Government forces have captured the strategically important town of Tricathan from the Legoban, officials have confirmed. According to the military, troops entered the town this afternoon and were greeted by no one with no trace of the town's former inhabitants, or of Legoban insurgents.

It was a very different story elsewhere in Figland with the government confirming that 64 soldiers have been killed in battles over the past week in the army's approach to Tricathan.

The army went on the offensive in Figland's on 31 October to liberate the Castleland provincial town of Tricathan after the Legoban seized it in a brazen attack the day before, yet found themselves bogged down in the mountainous Basicstan Pass, the only land route to Tricathan from central Legoland.

Meanwhile, the Legoland media have once again hit out at the military's handling of the conflict with calls for the Minister for Defence, Mr Chemicalus Answerus to step aside. "With over 60 dead LRG soldiers on his watch, he should know himself what the honourable thing to do is", said RTL's Night Show presenter, Deciduous Poststimulus.

A startling poll carried out by the Minifig Times in conjunction with Blue Sea, has revealed that 5 times more minifigs would like to see Legoland ruled by the Legoban than by the current government led by the New Brick Order party. The poll has shocked many commentators who have suggested the state quickly kickstart a media propaganda machine to represent their side of the conflict.
