LEGOLAND CITY-Legoland FC head coach José Emilio Amavisca has been unceremoniously booted out of the club this evening after another loss in Serie A sparked violent protests amongst supporters of the team. A 23rd minute goal from Lion Lakers’ Raffaele Palladino left LFC 12 points behind league leaders Roma and any hopes of a title challenge this season in serious doubt.

Despite being in charge for just 8 league games, with three consecutive Serie A defeats on his watch, the club’s board of directors were left with little option but to send Amavisca packing. The former LFC player will be remembered for overseeing the LFC side that notched up a record 3-0 win over city rivals Legoland United at the San Siro yet the minifig will also no doubt be held responsible for LFC’s worst run of form this decade. Indeed, not since January 1999 have LFC lost 3 league games in-a-row, a feat achieved then by former manager Arrigo Sacchi.

In a brief statement to the press, the Cartel thanked Amavisca for his time at the club but expressed dissatisfaction at his overall performance. “We will remember Mr Amavisca for being a good servant to the club but unfortunately for both ourselves and himself, he did not achieve enough. We recommend he looks for a new career path outside of football,” it read.

Speculation has shifted to who might succeed Amavisca with recently sacked Patrice Loko many commentators favourite. Other names in the pot include Legoland Galaxy’s Carlo Ancelotti and Chessland City’s veteran manager Nedo Sonetti.

Elsewhere, Roma remain top of Serie A despite a shock 2-0 home defeat to relegation battlers Real Legoland. The Castleland club were helped by the battle between second placed BFB and third placed Legoland United finishing scoreless. Lazio remain fourth with a 2-1 win over the TDs. At the bottom of the table Greentown Athletic are in total crisis after slumping to a 7-1 defeat to Inter Police in what was billed as a relegation battle between two struggling sides. Greentown boss Giampiero Ventura is now the favourite to be the next Serie A coach to face the chop.
