Al-Kyeda leader Amaso Bin Liner has announced the capture of Minister for Justice Mr Captious Criminous after an attack on Criminous' entourage in the lawless Figland region of the Castleland Autonomous Province. Mr Criminous was seized while on his way from the capital to the Castleland city of Tricathan for a scheduled meeting with the local judiciary. Al-Kyeda, who are fighting for a religious Legoland, have stated that the hostage will be killed within 48 hours if the Government of Legoland does not reverse the 2007 ban on God.

The capture of the minister is a major blow to the Government and to the security forces in their fight against the terrorist organisation. Coming just a day after the murder by Al Kyeda of Finance Minister Dr Fidelus Accountus in a car bomb blast, the attacks clearly signal that the group has reorganised into sophisticated cells capable of carrying out high-profile operations and have become a formidable foe for the STAMPA secret police. Central Bank chief hands in resignation

Central Bank of Legoland president Mr Printus Moneyus has resigned from his post after a brief meeting with Emperor David at the CBL headquarters today. It is thought that the Emperor, angry at a perceived mismanagement of the economy by the bank during his 2 week sojourn in Playmobil, forced Moneyus’ hand by announcing that his personal security guard would be removed to save taxpayer’s money if he didn’t go. LFC seriously pissed off after world record bid is rebuffed

The board of LFC have reacted angrily to ND Land FC's rejection of a world record bid for star midfielder Cristiano Ronaldo and have labelled the ND Land giants "difficult monkeys", language that could see the Legoland side land in hot water with the football authorities yet again. Speaking to the press, recently appointed president Francesco Pedone said that ND Land FC were only rejecting the bid because it was from LFC. Full Story

Obnoxious Consensus "ain't going nowhere"

General Secretary Obnoxious Consensus has refused to step aside despite only narrowly surviving yet another motion of no confidence tabled against himself and his New Brick Order cabinet by leading opposition parties. The attempted defeat of the government was spearheaded by the Legoland Communists in conjunction with the EDB and the Effective Minifig Union but the coalition was defeated by 2 votes thanks to Legoland First's overwhelming support for the government.
