Legoland City's Rosario Chiarello celebrates after scoring his second of the game. The Capital, as they are nicknamed, secured promotion and the Serie B championship with one round remaining. Fans of the club have credited owner James Wadsworth for the season's success with some claiming he could be a god.

There were dramatic scenes at the Lira Arena today as Legoland City's 16-year Serie A wait came to an end with the side earning promotion to the top flight for the first time following a 2-1 win over Galaxy. Fans of The Capital invaded the pitch when the final whistle blew and celebrations are expected to continue well into the night.
Legoland City's goals on the historic day both came from defensive stalwart Rosario Chiarello, with the goals coming in the 7th and 33rd minutes.
Supporters of Legoland City interviewed afterwards were adamant that the investment made by club patron James Wadsworth was the key factor in their successful season. Many thanked Mr Wadsworth and his LAMLradio financial backer for the triumphant campaign.
"He really did well, it was always going to be very difficult with so many sides fighting for the three spaces but to finish top, as division champions, is amazing. Wadsworth deserves credit!" said Legoland City supporter Deenal Jules. Another fan interviewed said he would be looking to petition the city council to erect a statue in Mr Wadsworth's honour. "16 years of waiting are over thanks to him, it's the least thing the council should do to thank the 'fig."
Elsewhere, a win for Louisville Minifigs over Milan, their first win in 8 games, saw the club jump 2 places and into second after second and third placed Millionaires and Torino both drew. The final two places up for grabs will be contested by Louisville, Millionaires, Torino, Verdy and Galaxy.
