The Bulls remain the industrial city of Medalin's most successful club despite a recent wane in fortunes and an annual battle on the pitwith cross-town rivals Medalin White Sox for the position.
Traditionally one of the largest club sides in the Empire, the Bulls fell on hard times in the early 2000s when the club went into administration following bankruptcy. Financial woes were accompanied shortly after with the humiliation of relegation to Serie B. The club's downfall has been heavily documented with mismanagement through expensive forays on the transfer market, mounting player wages, and an aging playing staff coupled with the ailing domestic economy blamed.
